Deirdre Brings Her Passion For Creativity To Chesterfield

Deirdre has a passion for inspiring creativity.  With a fabulously varied career as a primary school teacher, a textile artist, and a craft gallery owner she fulfils her love of making through knitting, spinning wool, creating textile art and enjoys working in her allotment and garden. 

The Creation Station are thrilled that she has recently joined the franchise family and now runs successful, award-winning, fun, creative art and craft classes, after-school clubs, parties and events for all ages in Chesterfield.

We asked Deirdre to share why she loved providing creative activities in her community - this is what she said:

Why did you want to run your own business?

"I wanted to be in control of my working week.  My goal is to inspire creativity and imaginations in everyone so this business was perfect for me." 

What attracted you to The Creation Station?

"I really love how its core values are based on nurturing creativity and inspiring everyone - from babies to 99 year olds.  Having run a business before, I know the value of having a range of support from a great franchise."

Describe your highlights so far...

"At the moment I am halfway through our very first term here at The Creation Station Chesterfield.  We're having so much fun in our weekly baby and pre-school classes and after-school clubs.  It's wonderful seeing what the children create each week!"

How do you feel about the future?

"Excited! I can't wait to launch our adult 'Creative Crafters' workshops in Chesterfield.  Our after-school Create Club's have really taken off so we are looking forward to working with some more inspiring schools within Chesterfield "
