As a trained primary school teacher, Louise was looking for a new challenge and the freedom that flexibility could bring to her working life.  She now runs award-winning, fun, creative art and craft classes, after-school clubs, parties and events for all ages in Fareham, Hampshire.

We asked Louise to share why she loved providing creative activities in her community- this is what she said:

Why did you want to run your own business?

"I wanted the challenge that running my own business and being my own boss would bring to my working life.  The flexibility of choosing when the best times were for me to work meant that I was able to work with and around my family".

What attracted you to The Creation Station?

"I know how important it is for children to have the time to use their imagination and be creative.  I love the values of The Creation Station and as a trusted franchise I knew I would have the support, help, guidance that I would need, and still have 'colleagues' around me to help me grow my business." 

Describe your highlights so far...

"Making so many children happy and proud of their art work.  I love watching the children and families enjoy being creative together in our pre-school classes in Fareham.  I really get to know families, and with the increase in the range of activities that we can offer, I get to see them return for after-school clubs, birthday parties and all the other different sessions across my business."  

How do you feel about the future?

"Excited and positive.  I am very proud to have been running a successful business for 5 years, building it up gradually to a place that I am happy with. I'm really looking forward to continuing to run my business and growing it even more with the introduction of 'Care and Creativity' wellbeing workshops for the elderly!"
